Helly Hansen Launches Crowd-Sourced and Brand Ambassador Ski Film
OSLO, Norway (January 27, 2016) — Helly Hansen announced today the release of its crowd-sourced ski film, Ski Free the Film.
The collaborative film project aims to express the ultimate love for skiing, and the rush of freedom and excitement the participants feel no matter whether they are skiing in resorts, backcountry, or on big mountains around the world. The footage submitted during Helly Hansen’s 2015 Ski Free campaign ranged from skiing leisurely groomed runs to untouched waist high powder and high altitude randonnée expeditions overlooking the alps, all expressing a universal passion toward the sport.
The user-generated material compliments the film’s backbone story of meeting Helly Hansen Ski Ambassadors Aurelien Ducroz and Kaylin Richardson. The end result is a 12-minute edit showcasing the universal love of skiing from freeride world tour champions, seasoned powder hunters, families on vacation and Olympic athletes.
The final-cut feature film will be released on www.hellyhansen.com/skifree/film and on select partner sites during the winter 2015-16 snow season.
